Beginnings

Why am I writing this? Part of my self is still rolling his eyes, trying to be cynical as I think about this. Mostly, I still can't believe that I'm blogging to begin with, but to try and rationalize an answer also? I could come up with an answer that sounds really good, but it would be total junk. The more likely answer for me writing this could also be applied to why you are reading this: "I just felt like it at the time". There, I've said it. Besides, does it always have to be extremely important? Nope. I think we're just more comfortable with doing something when we have an excuse. Also, we all surf the web these days, and let's face it: sometimes, there's just no reason for a web site to hold your attention, it just does.

Thing is, here I am. At least, here are my thoughts, feelings and opinions. As the old saying goes: "All that's fit to print." Speaking of opinions, can we agree on one thing, before I get too much along? Let's try to be civil. We all have seen things on the internet that we may not agree with. We see it on the television, yelling at it doesn't make it any better, and please, try what I do when something upsets me. Change the channel or just click "back". I don't mind a civil exchange, but I don't want any flaming text or all caps repsonses on things. I'll try to behave, and I hope we can get along.

Right now, as I see things, there's not going to be some grand arc or theme to this. If a few posts connect to each other, cool, or if a huge theme for this site evolves, great. I am going to try to have a point with these posts, and if I do state any opinions, they will be with a Christian bent. That, I will not apologize for, I will do my best to be respectful and I simply ask that anyone who disagrees tries to reciprocate. Sometimes, though, I may not even have a grand message involved, also. I may just come on to post some thoughts and questions, just to keep the mood from being to intense. If you're patient and want to take some time to see where this goes, please, get a cup of coffee (or tea-I am equal opportunity) and stick around and enjoy this ride called life with me.

Thanks for your time!
